Money $$$ has become the number one value, eclipsing all others. Morals, ethics, empathy, truth, courage, justice, integrity and 100's of other values have all been "bought".

Monsanto and the fight for GMO is just one small example that shows how we can be blinded. Using money to keep people from knowing what they are eating. Using money to supress any knowledge that their product might be harmful. Why do they do it? It could hurt the profit $$$ It could hurt individuals income $$$ It could hurt the stock price $$$ Are these people evil? Not in my opinion. They are simply blinded in their quest for this most important value $$$.

Yet what they do IS evil. One of 100's of examples:
In 1998 a UK research scientist accidently discovered that the process of genetically modifiying food creates massive collateral damage inside the DNA of the plant. He was previously a proponent of GMO. After revealing his discovery, he was fired, blackballed, and kept from showing his research results (which have since been confirmed). You can do your own research and confirm this. His name Dr. Arpad Pusztai.

Remember Wikileaks and Julian Assange?  Why has the US relentlessly pursued him? How could he have anything to do with GMO? Try searching "wikileaks gmo france" you'll find US diplomats saying things like a 2007 cable from Craig Stapleton, then US Ambassador to France, he encouraged the US government to “reinforce our negotiating position with the EU on agricultural biotechnology by publishing a retaliation list.” A list, he added, that “causes some pain across the EU since this is a collective responsibility.”
